What We Believe

What We Believe

THE HOLY BIBLE: We believe that the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man; and they are infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (2Tim.3:15,17: 2Pet.1:21; Rom.15:4; 1Cor.10:11) .
THE ONE TRUE GOD: revealed in the Scriptures as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt.28:19).
THE FALL OF MAN: that man was created good and upright, however man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is seperation from God. (Gen. 1:26,27; Rom.5:12-19).
THE SAVIOUR: Man’s need of a Saviour has been met only in the Person of Jesus Christ, because of His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, Resurrection and Ascension; His abiding intercession, Second Coming and Millennium Reign on earth.
THE SALVATION OF MAN: is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, (1) Repentance (2) Regeneration (3) justification (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 2:11).
The evidence of Salvation is an inward evidence of the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24).
WATER BAPTISM: We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion as commanded in the Holy Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord are to be baptised. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47,49). Children are not baptised but are dedicated to the Lord.(Luke 2:21-22).
HOLY COMMUNION: We believe in the administering of the Lords Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, representing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ.(2Peter 1:4). It is a memorial of His death and a proclamation of His second coming (1Corinthians 11:26).
THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience subsequent to salvation (Act 8:12-17). Providing power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts, and the uses of the gifts in the work of the ministry( Luke 24:49 1Corinthians 12:1-3).
The evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost: The baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; 1Corinthians 12:4-10, 28).
SANCTIFICATION: We believe that sanctification is an act of seperation from that which is evil and the dedication unto God (Romans 12:1,2; 13:12). It is holiness unto the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Sanctification is realised in the believer by recognising his identification with Christ, and being given continually to the domonion of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20; Philippians 2:12,13).
DIVINE HEALING: We believe that divine healing is an intergral part of the gospel. And that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the priviledge of all believers (Isaiah 53:4; James 5:14-16). Yet the church is not opposed to soliciting the help of qualified medical practitioners.
THE PROSPERITY OF THE BELIEVER: that Jesus became poor that we might be rich 2Cor.8:9, 3John 2, Deut.8:18, Deut.28:1-14.
